Having known nothing about the property buying process in Spain and with a limited knowledge of the area, it was wonderful to come across Caroline & Catalina of Property Solutions.
For a few months before our holiday, we kept in touch with them, giving them ideas of the type of property and area we were looking for. Throughout our conversations, emails, text etc., there was never any pressure from them.
We decided to engage with them and their Personal Shopper package as for us, this seemed the perfect solution to save us time and the stress of trying to do everything ourselves from the UK By the time we came out to Spain, they had a range of properties lined up for us to view which matched the criteria we had given them and accompanied us to every viewing, offering help and advice.
When we found a property, they arranged everything for us. They arranged and accompanied us to open a Spanish bank account and to the Notary to arrange a Power of Attorney so they could act on our behalf when we returned to the UK. They organised our NIEs, Padrons and our Residency applications.
They accompanied us to the Residency appointment at the Police Station, (which had to be in Lorca because of the time of the year) and also arranged our private Health Insurance.
On top of all that, they went above and beyond what we were paying them for and helped us with the application for our daughter at a local school. Catalina kindly accompanied us to the meeting at the school and when it was discovered that we were going to be living just outside the catchment area for the school, Catalina appealed the decision on our behalf and a few days later, the school overturned the decision and offered our daughter a place there.
A year later, we are loving living in our beautiful home here in Spain and our daughter is happily settled at her school. We couldn’t have done all of this so smoothly and relatively stress free without Caroline and Catalina. They are both extremely helpful, friendly and professional and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and the service they offer.
